So you've decided to use a Talisdam to raise your Legendz. Great choice! We detail everything one can expect from the Talisdam below.
Starting Up
Once you put a fresh set of batteries in your Talisdam, you are welcome by a two-option menu (figure 1, see below.) The first option, shown in the image, allows you to continue with any data saved to the Talisdam. If you hit the up or down button once (Those small triangles on the left of your Talisdam), you will reach the "No" option which allows you to start with a clean slate! Once you have selected Yes or No, press the Confirm button (The biggest button on the right of the Talisdam) to lock in your choice. Afterwards, you must select your Talisdam's "Special Characteristic" (figure 2, see below.) This allows you to set your screensaver, pick whichever element is your favorite as this will have no impact on your gameplay! Once that is done, all that is left is to set your time.
Once the time is set, you get to see a short animated video showing off the world of Legendz! After that, you will be met by the following menu (figure 3, see below.) This menu is known as the System Menu. And has everything you could expect from a Talispod.
The Talisdam keeps the features of its predecessor, the Talispod. Such as the LegendZ status, environment settings, multiplayer, and your crystal inventory, but acts as an expansion of the original. Perhaps the most noteworthy features are the new "Quest Mode" and the "Elemental Legion".
Support Legendz
When using a Talispod, you have the option to use three Souldolls at once! The central spot will be your main Legendz. The slots on the right and left are support slots, these will give you buffs depending on the element of the supporting Legendz!
These supports include: •Earthquake - Drops three times as many crystals as usual after a battle. •Storm - Allows recovery of 50% of your HP at the start of a battle. •Tornado - You take 30% less damage. •Volcano - Increases your magical damage by 40%. •Spiritual - Increases your physical damage by 10%. •Necrom - Gives you a 25% chance to paralyze the enemy.
If you use two of the same elment at once, you get a single stronger support effect!: •Earthquake x2 - I'll get back to you on that one! •Storm x2 - Allows you to recover 100% of your HP at the start of a battle. •Tornado x2 - You'll take 50% less damage. •Volcano x2 - Increases your magic damage by 60%. •Spiritual x2 - Increases your physical damage by 20%. •Necrom x2 - Gives you a 50% chance to paralyze the enemy.
Quest Mode
In quest mode, you enter dungeons which each have five consecutive battles that end in a fight against one of the Kingdragons! There are a total of seven dungeons:
The spiritual dungeon is a gauntlet which throws about six or more dungeons worth of nonstop stuff at you. When battling a Kingdragon, it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to use three souldolls.
Elemental Legions
These beings can be summoned when combining three LegendZ. You need to play a mini-game of sorts. Placing a given LegendZ in the center of the three Talisdam slots will determine the Elemental Legion’s element. Whilst the other two act as support LegendZ that provide the buffs. The more full the bar is, the stronger the legion will be. To farm these crystals, you'll want to have earthquake souldolls as support. One earthquake support LegendZ nets you two extra Legion crystals. And two earthquake supports nets you three extra Legion crystals. Useful stuff! Additional information about how to pull this off is coming soon!
